                              GOVERNMENT NECESSARY LESSON PLAN Student Deliverables: Teacher should have copies of the 
								Lesson 
                                2 story and handout 
								(see below) to 
	distribute to the class. Sequence of Events: 
									
									Distribute handouts. Read 
                                    through the handouts as a class. Elicit 
                                    student participation.
									Optional: Assign students 
                                    to read particular parts, e.g. Mr. Green or 
                                    "you".
									Have students work 
                                    individually on the worksheet. Remind them 
                                    that it is important to answer in complete 
                                    sentences, and to give examples to support 
                                    their ideas.
									Review answers as a class 
                                    (key below).
									Discuss student responses, 
                                    answer questions and clarify 
                                    misunderstandings. Questions 4 and 5 are 
                                    particularly useful for class discussion. 
                                    Students should be encouraged to share, 
                                    compare and challenge one another's ideas. Student Tasks: References/Resources: 
 This lesson reviews standard 1A, continues with standard 1B, and addresses
