Excerpt from passage
Susan B. Anthony is a very important person in the history of the United States. She is also famous in other parts of the world. She was brought up to respect the rights of others and she worked hard to free slaves. At one time, black people were the slaves of rich land owners and did not have any rights. Susan was one of the people who tried to get the laws changed so that these people could live with their families and own their own houses and land. The people who were in favor of slavery didn't like her very much. She was called an abolitionist because she wanted the slaves to be free.
