WHY DO WE NEED LIMITED GOVERNMENT LESSON PLAN

Student Deliverables:

Teacher should have copies of the Lesson 8 story and handout (see below) to distribute to the class.

Sequence of Events:

• Introduce and define the terms for this lesson.

• Distribute handouts. Read through the handouts as a class. Elicit student participation.

• Read over the worksheet as a class. Be sure that students understand the tasks.

• Students should work in groups to complete the worksheet.

• Review answers as a class (key below). It is important to thoroughly discuss the students' answers and to encourage critical thinking.

Student Tasks:

• To complete the worksheet portion of the handout using the story as reference.
