6 story and handout
(see below) to
distribute to the class.
Sequence of Events:

Introduce and define the
terms evaluate and merit.

Distribute handouts. Read
through the handouts as a class. Elicit
student participation.

Optional: Assign students
to read particular parts, e.g. Mr. Green or
"you."

Read over the worksheet as
a class. Be sure that students understand
the tasks.

Students should write and
evaluate their own rules. Selected rules
should be evaluated as a class.
