I. Introduction and Review
- "We have been learning about patterns and pattern rules. Can anyone tell me what a pattern is, or rather, how do we know when we are working with a pattern?"
- Student answer: a series of terms that repeats in some way and follows a rule.
- Note: Write this on the board for students. It will help them to review previously learned material. It is also key for special education students to review material in a visual and auditory way, as it aids retention.
- "Good, so when we are talking about a pattern, we are talking about something that repeats in some way and follows a rule."
