Polynomials: Multiplying Monomials

Objectives:

• Students will learn about what a monomial is.

• Students will learn how to identify a monomial.

• Students will learn how to multiply different types of monomials.

• Students will practice all of these skills.

Lesson Excerpt:

- "Today we are going to begin working with monomials. We have seen some monomials before when we were working on exponents. We just didn't call them monomials then. Now we are going to expand our definition of what a monomial is and different ways to work with them. Let's start with what a monomial is."
