Making Inferences

Objectives:

• Students will use clues to make inferences.

Suggested Grades:

1st Grade - 2nd Grade - 3rd Grade

Lesson Procedure:

Discuss the meaning of inference by talking about how it is possible to draw conclusions from clues.

Have students complete the worksheets. For more advanced students, provide copies of the worksheets without word choices.

Review answers. Discuss how the conclusion for each answer was reached.
