About this worksheet
An alternate ending is a new ending for a story you already know, keeping the same characters and setting but changing how things turn out. This worksheet teaches the technique and lets students plan one.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box explains alternate endings with examples. Section A has eight recall questions. Section B on page 2 walks students through planning their own.
Page 3 is a complete answer key with sample answers. The worksheet pairs well with the Plot Structure and Story Elements worksheets.
