About this worksheet
A six-word story tells a complete story in exactly six words, hinting at a bigger story and leaving the reader to imagine the rest. This worksheet teaches how six-word stories work and has students write one of their own.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box explains the six-word story with examples. Section A has eight questions about the form. Section B on page 2 has four writing tasks.
Page 3 is a complete answer key with answers and sample responses. The worksheet pairs well with the Show Not Tell and Writing Hooks worksheets.
