About this worksheet

A quatrain is a four-line stanza that often rhymes in a pattern such as ABAB or AABB. This worksheet teaches the parts of a quatrain and guides students to write one of their own.

The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box defines the parts of a quatrain with examples. Section A has eight questions. Section B on page 2 guides students to plan and write a quatrain.
