About this worksheet
A monologue is a speech by a single character who shares their thoughts and feelings in first person, driven by an inner conflict and shaped by a beginning-middle-end arc. This worksheet teaches the form and lets students plan one of their own.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box explains the parts of a monologue with examples. Section A has eight recall questions. Section B on page 2 walks students through planning their own monologue.
