About this worksheet
A blurb is the short, exciting description on the back of a book that makes readers want to read it. This worksheet teaches how to write one and lets students plan a blurb of their own.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box explains blurbs with examples. Section A has eight recall questions. Section B on page 2 walks students through planning their own blurb.
Page 3 is a complete answer key with sample answers. The worksheet pairs well with the Writing a Summary and Persuasive Writing worksheets.
