Lesson Overview
About this worksheet
This worksheet covers avoiding plagiarism for grades 8-9. Page 1 opens with a reference box that teaches the rule and works an example, so a student who has been absent can start without the lesson.
There are 10 problems in all. The short items build fluency; the show-your-work problems ask the student to apply the same rule to a situation and explain the step.
The last page is a complete answer key. The worksheet prints cleanly in black and white on any printer.
How to Use This Lesson
Print one copy per student. The reference box is on page 1, so no separate handout is needed.
Read the reference box together and work its example on the board.
Let students complete the short items independently.
Work the show-your-work problems as a class if the skill is new.
Grade with the answer key on the last page.
