About this worksheet
A TRANSITION WORD is a word or phrase that connects ideas and shows how they relate. A SIGNAL WORD tells the reader what is coming: SEQUENCE words like first show order, CAUSE words like because show a reason, and CONTRAST words like however show a difference. This worksheet teaches these connectors, with an illustration.
