About this worksheet
Two boxes let a child work by elimination: anything that is not an animal goes in the other box. Three boxes take that away, so every picture has to be looked at and decided on its own.
Section A gives six pictures and a three-word bank; Section B is a cut-and-paste sort with three labeled boxes and nine picture tiles, three for each box.
The answer key on page three gives the group for all six pictures in order, and lists by name the three tiles that belong in each box.
How to Use This Lesson
Print the worksheet. The word bank is in the box on page one.
Read the three group words aloud together before students begin.
For Section B, cut the tiles apart along the dashed lines first.
Check the answers against page three.
