What’s Inside
This workbook gathers every InstructorWeb SAT vocabulary practice format into one printable book — 249 words across four study formats, with an answer key after each section. Work straight through for a full course, or print just the format that fits how you want to study.
- Complete Word List. All 249 SAT words with definitions — your master reference for the whole book.
- Matching Worksheets. Twenty sets that match each word to its meaning from a Word Bank, building quick word-to-definition recall.
- Fill-in-the-Blank Worksheets. Twenty sets that place each word in a real sentence, building the word-in-context judgment the SAT tests.
- Crossword Puzzles. Twenty interlocking puzzles that ask you to produce each word from a definition clue — the strongest kind of recall.
How to Use This Workbook
The four formats are arranged in the order that moves a word from recognition into lasting memory. Start with the word list to learn the meanings, then practice with progressively harder recall:
- Read the word list — say each word and its meaning out loud once.
- Do a matching set to lock in word-to-definition recall.
- Use fill-in-the-blank to see each word working inside a sentence.
- Finish with a crossword — producing the word from its clue is the hardest, best practice.
- Check your answers, then circle back to any words you missed.
