SAT Vocabulary Quiz
A printable multiple-choice quiz covering all 249 words from our SAT series. Each question pairs a word with four meanings — pick the right one to test what you really know. Ten lesson quizzes with a complete answer key. The printable PDF is a Full Member resource.

What’s Included
This printable packet contains ten quizzes — one for each of our ten SAT lessons — for a total of 249 questions covering every word in the series. Each question presents an SAT word and four possible meanings; the student circles the letter of the best one. The three wrong choices are real meanings of other words from the same lesson, so every question is a genuine test of which definition belongs to which word. A complete answer key follows at the back.
How This Is Different From the Practice Test
Our SAT Vocabulary Practice Test mimics the test itself — sentence-completion questions where you choose the word that best fits a sentence. This quiz works the other way around: it gives you the word and asks for its meaning. Use the quiz to lock in definitions first, then move to the practice test to apply them in context.
Why Self-Quizzing Works
Decades of learning research point to the same conclusion: actively recalling a word’s meaning is far more effective than re-reading a definition. A quick multiple-choice quiz forces that retrieval — and the moment you check the answer key, anything you missed sticks.
- Retrieval practice. Choosing the right meaning is active recall, which builds far stronger memory than passive review.
- Honest feedback. The distractors are real SAT-word meanings, so a lucky guess is unlikely — you find out what you truly know.
- Bite-sized. One quiz per lesson makes it easy to study a set, test it, and move on.
- Self-scoring. The answer key turns every quiz into immediate feedback you can act on.
