What’s Included

Twenty printable matching sets covering all 249 words from the InstructorWeb SAT vocabulary series — two sets for each of the ten lessons. Every set has an alphabetical word bank and a numbered list of definitions to match, plus a full answer key at the back. Want the words as a single reference sheet instead? See the Complete SAT Vocabulary Word List.

How to Use These Worksheets

  1. Print the set you want. Each matching set fits a short section of the page — print on regular paper.
  2. Read each definition and write the matching word from the Word Bank in the blank.
  3. Cross words off the bank as you use them to narrow the remaining choices.
  4. Check with the answer key at the back, then re-study any words you missed.

How to Get the Most From Matching Practice

  • Try it from memory first. Attempt each match before consulting notes — the effort of retrieving the meaning is what builds memory.
  • Re-mix the ones you miss. Make a short list of the words you got wrong and match them again the next day.
  • Pair it with the flashcards. Use the SAT Vocabulary Flashcards for quick daily review, then use these worksheets to confirm you can match words to meanings.
  • Finish with the test. When a set feels easy, check yourself with the SAT Vocabulary Practice Test.

Quick Quiz

Check your recall with a quick 12-question quiz drawn from across the word list. Select the best answer and submit to see your score.
