About this worksheet
This worksheet introduces the three places people travel. Students look at a way of getting somewhere and decide whether it rolls, floats, or flies. Every item is a picture, so no reading is needed to answer.
Section A on page 1 is a cut-and-paste sort with six tiles and three boxes. Section B on page 2 asks the same question in writing about five more ways to travel. Page 3 is the answer key.
It comes in two editions: a full-color PDF and a low-ink black-and-white PDF for everyday copying, both with the same answer key.
How to Use This Lesson
Read the reference box and name one way to travel in each place together.
Cut out the six tiles along the dashed line.
Paste each one under the place it travels.
Write the answer for each Section B picture, then check page 3.
