About this worksheet

The Moon is Earth’s natural satellite, a rocky world covered with craters and dark plains called maria. This worksheet teaches the key terms – satellite, orbit, gravity, crater, and maria – and why the same side of the Moon always faces Earth.

The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box defines the key terms. Section A has eight clues to match to the correct term. Section B on page 2 has four short-response questions.
