About this worksheet
The excretory system keeps the body healthy by filtering liquid waste out of the blood. This worksheet teaches its organs and steps – kidneys, nephrons, filtration, urine, ureters, bladder, and urethra – and completes the core body-systems set alongside the circulatory, digestive, and respiratory worksheets.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box defines each part and includes a labeled black-and-white diagram of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra. Section A has eight clues to match to the correct term. Section B on page 2 has four short-response questions about what the system does, the kidneys, the path of urine, and why removing waste matters.
Page 3 is a complete answer key with the term for every clue and sample short answers. The worksheet pairs well with the Circulatory System and Human Body Systems worksheets.
