About this worksheet
The circulatory system moves blood around the body to deliver oxygen and nutrients and carry away waste. The heart pumps blood through arteries that lead away from it, veins that return blood to it, and tiny capillaries that connect the two and feed the cells. This worksheet helps students connect each part to its job.
Section A on page 1 gives eight clues, and students write the circulatory part each one describes. The reference box names the heart and the three kinds of blood vessels and what each does, so students have the information they need to match.
Section B on page 2 asks the system’s main job, the difference between an artery and a vein, why capillaries matter, and the heart’s role. Page 3 is a complete answer key with sample answers. The skill builds on the human body and body systems.
