About this worksheet

This worksheet has a 13 by 13 word search with 12 vocabulary words about the eight planets, the Moon, comets and asteroids. The words run across, down, and diagonally up or down, and a word bank under the grid has a box to check off each word as it is found.

Page 2 checks that the words are understood, not just spotted: eight sentences to finish with a word from the bank, each written so only one word fits, and two words for the student to use in sentences of their own. Page 3 is the answer key, with the puzzle solved, where each word starts, the sentence answers and sample sentences.

How to Use This Lesson
