About this worksheet

This worksheet has a crossword with 12 vocabulary words about the eight planets, the Moon, comets and asteroids. Each clue is a short definition or fact, numbered Across and Down to match the grid, and no clue prints an answer. The word bank under the clues lists every answer plus three extra words that are not used.

Page 2 is the answer key: the completed grid and every answer by number. It pairs with the Solar System Word Search Worksheet, which uses many of the same words.

It comes in two editions: a color PDF and a low-ink black-and-white PDF for everyday copying.
