About this worksheet

A Punnett square predicts the possible offspring of a genetic cross. This worksheet shows a worked Tt by Tt cross in a grid and teaches students to read genotypes and phenotypes from it.

The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box explains dominant and recessive alleles and shows a labeled Tt by Tt grid. Section A has eight questions about the grid. Section B on page 2 has four questions, including setting up a new cross.

Page 3 is a complete answer key with answers for every item. The worksheet pairs well with the Genetics and Heredity and Natural Selection worksheets.

How to Use This Lesson
