About this worksheet
Traits are carried by genes whose alleles can be dominant or recessive, and the alleles an organism has (its genotype) determine the trait you see (its phenotype). This worksheet teaches how traits are inherited and has students match terms and reason about a cross.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box defines eight terms. Section A has eight clue-matching items. Section B on page 2 has four short-response questions.
