About this worksheet
Forces that are equal and opposite are BALANCED and keep an object’s motion the same; when one force is stronger the forces are UNBALANCED and the motion changes. This worksheet teaches net force and how to predict motion, with a tug-of-war diagram.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box defines eight terms and shows a tug-of-war. Section A has eight clue-matching items. Section B on page 2 has four short-response questions.
