About this worksheet

A playbill is the program handed out at a theater, and it answers a specific set of questions: when the show starts, how long it runs, who plays each part, and what the audience is asked to do. This worksheet has students read one closely.

The reference box, the playbill, and Section A are all on page 1. The reference box explains how a cast list pairs a character with an actor and how the intermission fits inside the running time. Section A has eight questions answered directly from the document. Section B on page 2 has four short-response questions.

Page 3 is a complete answer key with answers for every item.
