About this worksheet
The small card beside a museum object is packed with information on purpose: what the object is, where it came from, how old it is, who gave it, and the one thing the museum most wants a visitor to notice. This worksheet teaches students to read those parts.
The reference box, the exhibit label, and Section A are all on page 1. The reference box explains the parts of a label, including the scientific name, catalog number, and credit line. Section A has eight questions answered directly from the document. Section B on page 2 has four short-response questions.
Page 3 is a complete answer key with answers for every item.
