About this worksheet
A bar graph shows information as bars so readers can compare amounts at a glance. This worksheet renders a real bar graph titled Favorite Recess Game and teaches students to read its title, axis labels, and bar heights.
The reference box on page 1 explains how to read a bar graph and shows the Favorite Recess Game graph. Section A on page 2 has six questions read directly off that graph, including most, fewest, a difference, and what the y-axis measures. Section B on page 3 has five short-response questions about how to read any bar graph.
Page 4 is a complete answer key with answers for every item. The worksheet pairs well with the Reading a Line Graph and Reading a Chart worksheets.
