The Lion and the Mouse

“The Lion and the Mouse” is one of Aesop’s most beloved fables. A powerful lion spares a tiny mouse, and the mouse later repays the kindness by freeing the lion from a hunter’s net. The story teaches that even the smallest creatures can help the mightiest, and that kindness is always worth showing.

This printable worksheet invites early readers to draw a picture of the lion and the mouse and to practice letter recognition by completing fill-in-the-blank activities with key words from the story.
