About this worksheet
This is the challenge level in a leveled set of three Kindergarten alphabet worksheets. Every level is Kindergarten – they step up by skill: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, then matching and alphabetical order. This one puts the letters together with matching and letter order.
The worksheet moves through four kinds of practice. Children read letters in both cases on cards, trace the alphabet on guide lines, circle the lowercase letter that matches each capital, then write the missing letter to complete short A-B-C order rows. It builds letter matching and knowing the order of the alphabet.
The last page is a complete Teacher Answer Key. It lists every uppercase-to-lowercase match and every missing letter, so an aide or parent can check a child’s work quickly.
How to Use This Lesson
Read the mixed uppercase and lowercase cards together, then have children name them on their own.
Model tracing a few letters, then let children trace the rest of the alphabet.
Have children circle the small letter that matches each big letter in the match box.
Say the alphabet together, then have children write the missing letter in each order row.
Use the answer key to check, and pair this page with the Sight Words sets for more Kindergarten reading practice.
