About this worksheet

A flashforward is a scene that jumps ahead in time to show a future event before the story returns to the present. This worksheet teaches the technique and contrasts it with flashback and foreshadowing.

The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box defines flashforward and its neighbors. Section A has eight clues to match to the correct term. Section B on page 2 has four short-response questions.

Page 3 is a complete answer key with answers for every item. The worksheet pairs well with the Flashback and Foreshadowing worksheets.
