What students practice
The Dolch nouns are the everyday naming words early readers meet alongside the service words. Unlike the sight-word lists, many of these can be sounded out, so they are a good place to let a reader try decoding before being told.

- Pair a noun card with a sight-word card to build a two-word phrase
