What’s included

  • A how-to box that numbers the strokes of capital A and lowercase a in order, with an arrow for each
  • A picture of an apple for the sound of a
  • Rows to trace A, a and Aa, each with room to write the letter alone
  • Three words to trace: apple, ant and at
  • A letter hunt: circle every A and a among 20 letters
  • A box to draw something whose name starts with a
  • A Name and Date line on both pages
  • Color and black & white versions

How the letters are drawn

The letters are ball-and-stick print. Each stroke starts at a big dot: lines pull down from the top, and round letters start like c and go around to the left. The how-to box numbers the strokes in order, with an arrow for each one.
