Twelve weeks of daily math review, in order. Each week revisits the previous week’s work on Friday, so a Friday dip usually points at the earlier skill rather than the current one.

• Week 1: Multiplication Facts — facts to 10 x 10. Free
• Week 2: Multiplication and Division — the two operations together.
• Week 3: Three-Digit Addition and Subtraction — regrouping across three digits.
• Week 4: Place Value to 10,000 — four-digit place value.
• Week 5: Comparing and Counting — four-digit comparison and skip counting.
• Week 6: Week 6 Review — all five weeks, mixed.
• Week 7: Multiplying Two Digits by One — past the times tables.
• Week 8: Division with Remainders — what is left over.
• Week 9: Four-Digit Addition and Subtraction — regrouping across four digits.
• Week 10: Comparing and Ordering Larger Numbers — five-digit comparison.
• Week 11: Order of Operations — which part of a number sentence comes first.
• Week 12: Week 12 Review — weeks 7 to 11, mixed.

3rd Grade ELA Morning Work

Twelve weeks of daily reading and language review. Each sheet is four word-work items and two written items; Wednesday and Friday add a short passage with two questions about it.

• Week 1: Vowel Teams — two vowels working together. Free
• Week 2: Plurals and Possessives — more than one, and belonging to.
• Week 3: Prefixes and Suffixes — word parts that change meaning.
• Week 4: Homophones — words that sound the same.
• Week 5: Week 5 Review — all four weeks, mixed.
• Week 6: Compound Words and Contractions — words made of two words, and words squeezed together.
• Week 7: Diphthongs — oi, oy, ou and ow.
• Week 8: Silent Letters — the letters you write but do not say.
• Week 9: Soft c and Soft g — when c says s and g says j.
• Week 10: R-Controlled Vowels — when r changes the vowel before it.
• Week 11: Harder Spellings — words worth learning by sight.
• Week 12: Week 12 Review — weeks 7 to 11, mixed.

How to use morning work

Print a packet once at the start of the week and hand out one sheet a day. Each sheet is six items and takes about 10–15 minutes. Students can start without instruction, so the sheets cover the part of the morning when you are taking attendance, chasing notes and settling the room.

Mark the week as a set on Friday rather than page by page. Five short sheets on the same skills show you a pattern; one sheet on its own mostly shows you whether a child was awake.
