About this worksheet
This worksheet turns division facts that divide by 6, 7, 8 and 9 into a picture. Every square in the grid holds a problem, and the answer decides the color of that square. Each color goes with two or three answers. The grid mixes 35 different facts, with no more than four squares whose answer is 10. When all 72 squares are colored, the picture shows a red knit winter hat with yellow dots, a pompom on top and a green cuff, under a blue sky, so a student can see for themselves whether the work went right.
Section B sits under the grid on the same page and asks for 10 missing numbers in division facts, a different form of the facts in the grid, so the skill is checked on its own. Page 2 is the answer key: the finished picture beside the color key.
It comes in two editions: a full-color PDF and a low-ink black-and-white PDF for everyday copying. In the black-and-white key every square also shows the first letter of its color.
How to Use This Lesson
Color each box in the color key first, or read the key together.
Solve every problem in the grid, working across one row at a time.
Color each square with the color its answer points to in the key.
Finish Section B, then check both sections against page 2.
