About this worksheet
A two-step equation takes two inverse operations to solve. This worksheet teaches students to undo addition or subtraction first, then undo multiplication or division, doing the same thing to both sides.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box works two examples step by step. Section A has six equations to solve for x. Section B on page 2 has four word problems that translate to two-step equations.
Page 3 is a complete answer key with worked answers for every problem. The worksheet pairs well with the Order of Operations and Factors and Multiples worksheets.
