Lesson Overview
About this worksheet
Probability measures how likely an event is, written as a fraction of favorable outcomes over total outcomes. This worksheet practices finding the probability of simple events, including certain (1) and impossible (0) cases.
The reference box on page 1 gives the formula with marble and number-cube examples. Section A on page 1 gives six probabilities to find from one bag of marbles. Section B on page 2 has four word problems using a spinner, tiles, a coin, and a box of crayons.
Page 3 is a complete answer key that shows each probability as a fraction. The worksheet pairs well with the Simplifying Fractions and Bar Graphs worksheets.
