About this worksheet

A scatter plot shows the relationship between two sets of data by plotting a point for each pair of values, and the pattern of the points tells the correlation. This worksheet teaches students to read a scatter plot and name positive, negative, or no correlation.

The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box shows an Hours Studied vs. Quiz Score scatter plot. Section A has eight questions about it. Section B on page 2 has four short-response questions.

Page 3 is a complete answer key. The worksheet pairs well with the Line Graphs and Coordinate Plane Basics worksheets.
