About this worksheet
The Pythagorean theorem relates the three sides of a right triangle: the squares of the two legs add up to the square of the hypotenuse. This worksheet teaches the rule with a labeled right-triangle diagram and has students find missing sides.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box states the theorem, labels a right triangle, and works one example. Section A has six problems to find a missing side. Section B on page 2 has four word problems, including a ladder and a diagonal.
