About this worksheet
This worksheet has 12 partial products problems. Each pair of place values is multiplied on its own line, with a label beside the line that says which places were multiplied, and then the lines are added. Nothing is carried, so every step is written down. A worked example (58 × 3) shows the layout.
Section A has 2-digit by 1-digit problems and Section B has 3-digit by 1-digit problems, both with the labels printed. In Section C, on 2-digit by 2-digit problems, the student writes each label before the product. Page 4 is the answer key, with every label, line and sum.
It comes in two editions: a full-color PDF and a low-ink black-and-white PDF for everyday copying.
