About this worksheet

This worksheet has 12 long division problems. A worked example (736 divided by 4) shows every step written out. Each problem sits in the division bracket above a light grid, one square per digit, so every product and difference stays in its place-value column.

The reference box at the top of page 1 explains the method. Page 3 is the answer key, and it shows every problem solved step by step: the quotient, each product and difference, and every digit brought down, so a student can find the exact step where an answer went wrong.
