About this worksheet

An inequality compares two values that are not equal, using less-than and greater-than symbols. This worksheet teaches the symbols and how to solve one-step inequalities, including the rule to flip the sign when dividing by a negative.

The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box works one normal example and one that flips the sign. Section A has six problems. Section B on page 2 has four questions.

Page 3 is a complete answer key with answers for every problem. The worksheet pairs well with the One-Step Equations and Two-Step Equations worksheets.
