About this worksheet
Complementary angles add up to 90 degrees and supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees. This worksheet teaches students to find a missing angle by subtracting from 90 or 180 and to reason about the angle pairs in word problems.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box defines both angle pairs with a worked example of each. Section A has six missing-angle problems, mixing complementary and supplementary cases. Section B on page 2 has four word problems, including an angle equal to its own complement and whether two supplementary angles can both be acute.
Page 3 is a complete answer key showing each missing measure and the subtraction used. The worksheet pairs well with the Types of Angles and Lines, Rays, and Line Segments worksheets.
