About this worksheet
A box-and-whisker plot shows how data is spread using a five-number summary: minimum, first quartile, median, third quartile, and maximum. This worksheet teaches how to read a box plot and pull out those values, the range, and the interquartile range.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box shows a box-and-whisker plot of daily high temperatures that both sections ask about. Section A has six questions reading the plot. Section B on page 2 has four short-response questions.
Page 3 is a complete answer key with answers for every question. The worksheet pairs well with the Stem-and-Leaf Plots and Mean, Median, and Mode worksheets.
