About this worksheet
The area of a triangle is half the area of a rectangle with the same base and height, so Area = (base x height) / 2. This worksheet practices that formula and the reverse skill of finding a missing height when the area and base are known.
The reference box on page 1 works a forward example and a missing-height example. Section A on page 1 gives six triangles to find the area of, in square centimeters, feet, inches, and meters. Section B on page 2 has four word problems, including one that asks for a missing height.
Page 3 is a complete answer key that shows the formula setup for every item. The worksheet pairs well with the Area of Rectangles and Perimeter Word Problems worksheets.
