About this worksheet
‘Used to’ describes something that happened regularly in the past or a state that was true before but is not true now. This worksheet teaches students to use ‘used to’ correctly and to drop the d in negatives and questions (‘didn’t use to,’ ‘Did you use to…?’).
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box explains the form with a past-habit and a past-state example. Section A has eight sentences to complete, including two negatives and one question. Section B on page 2 has four short-response questions.
Page 3 is a complete answer key with the correct form for every sentence and sample responses. The worksheet pairs well with the Verb Tenses and Future Tenses worksheets.
