About this worksheet
Use ‘sit’ to mean resting in a seat, which takes no object, and ‘set’ to mean placing something down, which takes an object. This worksheet teaches the difference with a memory trick: you set an object, but you sit yourself.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box states the rule with examples. Section A has eight fill-in-the-blank sentences. Section B on page 2 has four short questions.
Page 3 is a complete answer key. The worksheet pairs well with the Lay vs Lie and Transitive and Intransitive Verbs worksheets.
