About this worksheet
A sentence diagram is a picture of how the parts of a sentence fit together, with the subject and verb on a baseline and modifiers on slanted lines. This worksheet has students read a real diagram of a sample sentence.
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box shows a diagram of ‘The happy dog barked loudly.’ Section A has eight clue-matching items. Section B on page 2 has four short questions.
